You can take the cake out of the refrigerator a few hours before your session to soften the icing. Hard, cold icing doesn’t smash well. The size of the cake doesn’t matter too much, but it’s ideal to get one that matches the theme. Here, we’ll provide you with some of the best tips and inspirational photos for every theme!

Bring a small snack the baby likes (puffs or cheerios are perfect!). Sometimes, the baby needs a snack break. Puffs or Cheerios are also great to hide in the back of the cake to keep the baby’s interest. It’s also wise to have a sippy cup or bottle too. Things don’t always go as planned, and that’s okay. Your little one might not initially love the cake, but I have some tricks to pique their interest.
