When you have your second baby you just never know how the older sibling with react.  Sometimes they are good right away, but sometimes it takes a little time.  It was definitely apparent that Madison was absolutely in love and smitten with her new baby brother at his newborn photo session!  The sweet brown-eyed princess who had the most gorgeous curls was just adorable with him.  Michael was just as cute as his sister, I mean just look at that face!  He was perfect and most importantly a sleepy little guy.  He definitely did amazing at his newborn session!

 

Newborn photo sessions can take anywhere from 2-3 (sometimes 4!) hours. The baby runs the show in the studio as well as at home!  Like most little kids. Madison was done after about 30 minutes. For that reason, sibling pictures are done first.  This way we have a better chance of capturing great smiles.  And cooperation while they are still happy and not miserable from boredom.  It’s a good idea to have their dad, grandma/grandpa, etc. leave with them afterward so we can then focus on the baby.

Michael was such a cuddly little guy.  He was great in any position and prop I put him in.  Look at all the different setups and shots we got of him for instance.  On the flokati, in the bucket, bowl, and basket.  Along with multiple poses on the beanbag.
